This card I worked on much too long for such a simple card.  It is for a Splitcoaststampers Challenge #144.  Maureen Merritt put up this sketch
and since I usually can't do anything but follow a sketch exactly, I felt pretty good about changing things up a bit.  Mo has given the best explanations of sketches and I think that if I keep working at it, I will feel more natural using them.   This one came apart five times before I finally decided on this design so ... I will say that I did not give up.   I love the papers... so pretty.  The foliage stamp is Wplus 9 and the congrat's is from an old set I picked up 20 years ago.
Of course I want every stamp set I see, but luckily have Bob here to say, (an occasional) no.  LOL!!!  I am wanting the thin stripe IO background stamp.  So, I had to make do.  I used my paper crimper and crimped some off white paper then took a light gray ink pad and very lightly washed over the hills of the crimp.  I have fooled even me into thinking I can make do without that giant thin striped background stamp.  Well, for today.
