Just Magnolia Challenge; stitching.
This might be the first time I have used this magnolia Tilda stamp. I just love her! She is colored with copics. I added a little button dog I found in my mom's button stash, just cut the shank off. Of course there is my trusty cuttlebug..can I ever get away from that dot embossing folder? I stitched it on the machine and tore one end using my deckle edge ruler. I am still determined to use the tools I have purchased over the years!!!!! The brads are glittery and the round saying is from one of those booklets of quotes. I wish they were smaller!
This is my first attempt at a grid card using my scor-pal. I love the scor-pal so much and have found myself using it more than any other tools I have. These stamps are clear and as usual I am having trouble with them falling off the acrylic block. I used the cuttlebug dot embossing folder as well.
This week the challenge at CuttlebugSpot is to make a card that is NOT rectangle or square. The circle shaped card was cut using my Martha Stewart circle cutter. I used my nestie circles to make the "rug" and the mat behind the sentiment which was computer generated. The flowers came from a "bunch of flowers" I removed from the stems and used brads as the centers. My little framed picture of "Pa", who is off playing with his band most of the time, is from a Kliban calendar and is mounted on a tiny wooden square shape. The rick rack is from my dear mom's stash who handed down the crafting genes. Mother's Day is hard to celebrate now that she is gone! My favorite of all is my Kliban stamp..one of many I have collected.
I was buzzing around looking at blogs when I came across cuttlebugchallange blog. The challenge was to make a card using kraft, black and white/ivory. I used the kraft through the cuttlebug and then used my nestabilities to cut out the stamped image. I think it is a Hero Arts stamp.. (better check.) Since i have been using my money to buy things like; Copic's, nestabilities, and a few Magnolia stamps I have no money to get new stamps. You will see a lot of "oldies but goodies" on my blog.
