Today is.... Stamp-A-Faire 2016

Papertrey Ink Stamp-A-Faire 2016
This is what I am doing today!  One of my favorite stamp companies is having this free online event.  I am vowing to get at least one card on here and this is the color palette I am choosing.

Now to get busy!!

It took me hours to complete this one card.  A mother-in-law with dementia is similar to having small children underfoot but you are older and find it hard to multi-task. *smile*  She is getting quite needy so I don't have a lot of time.  I LOVE this die from Papertrey Ink's July release.  I have the matching stamps but decided to use the inks from the color recipe, sponged them onto a piece of white card and then cut it out.  I backed it with white and after stamping an IO background, again using all of the inks from the recipe, I mounted the die cut.  Finished it up with some sequins.

Here is a link to the challenge..

  2. Love the colors and how they blend into one another. I always wonder how people sponge die cut outs without accidently wrinkling up the paper. Well, I guess sponging FIRST and then die cutting would be the way they do it! Why that never entered my mind I'll never know.
