My second card attempt day four was Laura Bassen's create a scene, one layer card.  She used a stencil I need, of course, from Simon Says Stamp.  I had to use this old brass stencil that is warped so that it moves everytime you press the ink into it.  I was laughing so hard because on my first card my snowbank morphed into a tree just because my husband walked into the room and I looked up.  When I looked back down the stencil was way off my original tree and being warped leaves too much "wiggle" room.  My hubby finds it hilarious when I blame him for my mistakes! LOL

  1. This is FABULOUS! I'm a fellow student in the Holiday Card Workshop and saw your card in the Gallery. Had to stop by and say GREAT JOB!

  2. Wow, these are really lovely! Those one-layer cards are tough but you nailed it! Have you tried taping down your stencil with painter's tape? I've only made one stencilled card so I'm no expert by any means, but on the YouTube video I watched, that's what they did, so I did it too! Worked great! I want to do more stencilling! I love the look!
