StampNation Challenge 142 |
I started out with a background image I purchased years ago. It is a very cool unmounted stamp and I'll be darned if I can recall where I got it. I was thinking maybe River City but unless they retired it, no. It is very detailed so you get the best image with versifine ink.
Then I used the WPlus9 quilt die. SCREAMING could be heard around the world. I bought some Be Creative adhesive sheets when I ordered the quilt die and watched a video 10 times of the woman doing this technique, die cutting the quilt with the creative adhesive. I FAILED four times getting it to cut through and finally just gave up and used glue. I could not get the delicate portion out at any time... it tore. So, I proceeded without that part and just glued it onto a square.

I punched out some lace with a Martha Stewart punch and glued that beneath my quilt and added faux stitching. I also added a sparkly material under the quilt which you can barely see in the picture. All of that got put onto a red card base, added faux stitching and a handwritten friend to go along with the Hello white embossed image.
Such a gorgeous card, love the design and the colours.
